Child Safety Standards

Dawn of Night (the "Dawn of Night" website and the Dawn of Night Android application, published by Dawn of Night) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

These standards apply to everything on our platform: songs, reels, images, profiles, comments, community posts, direct messages, and anything created with our AI tools.

1. What is not allowed

The following are prohibited on Dawn of Night without exception, whether uploaded, shared, generated with our AI tools, or linked to:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photographic, drawn, animated, computer-generated or AI-generated.
• Sexualisation of a minor, including suggestive posing, framing, or captioning of images of real children.
• Grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or any attempt to make contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
• Trafficking, or advertising, promoting or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Using our AI tools to attempt to generate any of the above. Such prompts are blocked, recorded, and acted on.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to hold a Dawn of Night account, and older where local law requires it. Accounts found to belong to someone under the minimum age are removed. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — see our Privacy Policy.

3. How to report — in the app and on the web

You can report suspected CSAE without leaving the app:

• In the Android app — open the … menu on any reel, song, profile, community post or message and choose Report. Pick a reason and send.
• On the website — use the Report link on the same content.
• By email — write to dawnofnight41@gmail.com at any time.

Every report goes straight into our moderation queue, where it sits alongside content our automated systems have flagged. Reports about child safety are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed ahead of everything else. You do not need an account to email us a report.

4. How we detect it

• Automated moderation scores uploaded and AI-generated content and quarantines anything that scores as sexual content involving a minor, before a human ever sees it.
• Our AI tools refuse prompts that seek sexual content involving minors.
• Human moderators review the queue, and every moderator action is recorded in an audit log with who acted, what they did and why.

5. What we do when we find it

When we confirm CSAE or CSAM on Dawn of Night we:

• Remove the content immediately and preserve the evidence and account records as required by law.
• Terminate the account, and block the associated device, IP address and email so the person cannot simply register again.
• Report to the authorities — in the United States, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, and to law enforcement where applicable, as required by law.
• Co-operate fully with law enforcement and with lawful requests for information relating to an investigation.

We do not warn or give second chances for CSAE. The account is ended.

6. Compliance with the law

We comply with applicable child protection laws in the jurisdictions where Dawn of Night is available, including United States federal reporting obligations to NCMEC. Where local law imposes stricter requirements, we follow those.

7. Child safety point of contact

This person is responsible for our CSAM prevention practices and is able to speak to them directly with Google, NCMEC or law enforcement. Messages about child safety are answered as a priority.

These standards are reviewed as our features change and as the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
