How to delete your account

You can do this yourself, at any time, in two ways.

In the app

Open the Dawn of Night app
Tap Profile at the bottom
Tap Settings
Tap Delete Account and confirm

On the website

Go to www.dawnofnight.com/delete_account.php
Log in, so we know it is really you

What is deleted

Your account and login details
Your profile, username, email address and profile picture
Photos you uploaded, including any sent to Fix an Old Photo, and the restored copies
Songs, reels, videos and cover art you created or uploaded
Your posts, comments, messages and saved recipes
Your usage counts, credits and subscription records

What is kept, and for how long

Backups — copies may remain in routine server backups for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten.
Moderation and safety records — if content was reported or removed, a minimal record is kept so the same problem can be recognised again.
Payment records — purchase receipts are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. These are held by the payment provider, not by us.

Nothing kept is used to contact you, to advertise to you, or to rebuild your account.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete everything. Inside the app you can remove individual photos, songs, reels, posts and comments at any time, and they are deleted straight away.

Photos sent to Fix an Old Photo

The photograph you upload is deleted from our server as soon as the restored copy has been made. The restored copy stays in your account until you delete it, or until you delete your account. Photographs are never used to train AI models, never sold, and never shown to anyone else.

Need help?

If you cannot sign in, message Dawn of Night through the app or on our page and we will delete the account for you. We never ask for your password.
