2015-07-12 - MT - Day 46 - Medora to Glendive
From 7 AM to 9 AM, fifteen of us squeezed into a van to drive around the Theodore Roosevelt National Park south unit loop.
We admired the wonderful badlands, wild horses, bison, and prairie dogs.
After we returned, Kaylan, Reed, Nils, Alex and I cycled out together from the campsite. The wind was bad, the weather hot and dry. Twenty-four miles in, we enjoyed Subway sandwiches near the first rest stop in the town of Beach. Soon, we reached the North Dakota and Montana border and spent a little too much time there.
We rode on and eventually split up before reaching Glendive.
I was craving Asian food and so cycled an extra two miles only to find a "Closed for vacation" sign. I ended up getting Pizza Hut nearby instead before going to our camp at the unbelievable Makoshika State Park campgrounds.
