2015-07-02 - MN - Day 36 - Dalbo to Royalton
The ride to Royalton was another short, sub 60-mile day, with rest stops in Milaca and Morrill. I biked most of it alone and saw horses and cows, lots of farmers. I stopped in Royalton to use my computer and work on my website in the library with free Wi-Fi. I was the only user in there for the most part and couldn't believe how fast it was, possibly the fastest all trip. I stayed in the library for three and a half hours, leaving at 5:50 PM right before it closed at 6:00 PM. Once outside, starving, I waited for the abnormally long light to change so I could cross the street to the gas station for something to eat. The veggie wrap was pretty good.
It was another two miles or so to the camp site at the Royalton Sports Park where I saw the end of a dinner members of the local community had hosted for us. They had prepared food, and everyone went around the table and talked about themselves in turn. I was disappointed to have missed it. I went to sleep after reading more of The Martian. How can such an intelligent engineer/botanist/astronaut not know Morse code?
